Since founded, B&B has undertaken the demolition and dismantling of structures in a multitude of industries ranging from power generation to domestic housing. With projects ranging in size from shop refurbishments, strip outs, aircraft hangers, sewage works, train stations through to complete power stations for various clients including: Local authorities, ICI, MOD, NHS, Education authorities, National Grid, Highways Agency, numerous civil and construction companies. All works are carried out under stringent quality management controls and operate to all current legislation including CDM, H&S Legislation, Working At Heights 2012, BS6187:2011 etc. as a minimum.

Description
Demolition of 10 No office block units

We were contracted to demolish and clear 10 No office units at Brooks Court, adjacent to Battersea Power Station. The works involved strip out of all interior, degassing and removal of air conditioning units in order to demolish the structure utilizing a high reach excavator over 2 No weekend road closures. The project involved working closely with the local council and the Highways Agency in order to ensure minimum impact to the local community and roadways.

Removal and re-installation of timber heritage clock tower

Delicate removal of Cleethorpes station clock tower via 200T crane located within the station car park. 
Transporting the 2 No sections to be refurbished then transporting the sections back to Cleethorpes to be re-instated above the station.

Description
Strip out and demolition of ventilation head  houses

Removal of redundant plant, equipment and asbestos from 4 No head houses. Demolition of 1 No 21m high head house within central London via robotic excavator suspended from a city crane down to 10m to them carry out the remaining demolition via excavator behind protection scaffold.

Removal of 10,000m2 of roof glazing

Methodical removal of Carlisle Station's glazed canopy, galbestos sheeting and steel purlins whilst the station was fully operational and in conjunction with the reinstatement of the new roof with PTFE.

Separation and demolition of an extension to a 
grade 1 listed building.

Separation of the building by hand working from MEWP and Man Basket utilizing hand tools to form a 3m separation of the listed structure. The remaining building then being carefully demolished utilizing Excavators.

Complete site clearance

Prior to the demolition all tanks, ducts and pipe work had to be cleaned to remove contaminates. Demolition works were carried out utilizing conventional demolition techniques - excavators with heavy duty hydraulic breakers and pulverisors.
100% of the materials where recycled / crushed and reused on site.

Description
Demolition of the 1st bay of the structure 
to enable foot bridge erection

The close proximity of the structure to the Railway, public and highways meant an enclosed scaffold had to be erected to mitigate the risks.The Asbestos materials were then removed or encapsulated. Temporary works were designed & installed to transfer loads & ensure stability of the remaining building. The structure required careful dismantling utilizing Brokk robotic excavators & heavy Cranage positioned on the High Street with a complete Rail & Road closure.
